24 Advent calendar boxes / 24 Cutii de Advent

 

Here is another advent calendar for children, this time the boxes are larger than the mini set, with flowers and already stamped. 

I think the mini set is more suitable for little children as you don't want them eating too many sweets. So you can fill each box with one, two or three sweets (one biscuit, two candies etc). These boxes are larger so you can put more sweets in them, therefore suitable for older children.

Am facut si cutii mai mari decat cutiile mini de ieri, de data aceasta cu flori si stampilate.

Cred ca mini cutiile sunt mai potrivite pentru copiii mai mici, pentru ca nu mananca prea multe dulciuri. Asa ca se poate pune cate un biscuite sau 2-3 bomboane. Cutiile acestea fiind mai mari se pot pune mai multe dulciuri intr-o singura cutie.

Slice cake Advent calendar boxes / Cutii tort pentru Advent

 

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.... It really does! It even snowed here. Not much, but it did.

I thought I'd start this wonderful period with these Advent calendar boxes for children. I designed them last year but I still love them. They are mini boxes and perfect to fill them with small trinkets or sweets. So, starting December 1 the child opens a 'slice cake' every day to find in small surprises!

I will sell my Advent calendar boxes till November 15 so to make sure you will get them in time for the Advent period, plus the postal traffic seems to be slower this period due to the huge amount of letters.

Vine Craciunul! Chiar vine! A si nins aici. Nu mult, dar a nins!

M-am gandit sa incep aceasta perioada postand niste cutii pe care le-am facut anul trecut dar care imi plac tare mult. Sunt niste mini cutii in care puteti pune lucruri mici si dulciuri. Prin urmare, incepand cu 1 Decembrie copilul deschide cate 'o felie de tort' in fiecare zi si gaseste mici surprize in asteptarea Mosului.

Cutiile pentru Advent sunt de vanzare pana la data de 20 Noiembrie pentru a fi siguri ca ajung la timp pentru perioada Adventului. 

Witchy twig broom / Maturite din ramurele

Pentru tutorialul meu am ales sa fac niste maturite din ramuri. Sunt foarte simple de facut! Tot ce ai nevoie sunt niste ramurele si o bucata de sarma. Pentru un tutorial pas cu pas mergi la PSMIYO.

My last favor boxes for this year's Halloween is this 'pumpkin' with 'haunted' houses.

A combination of black, white and red for these beautiful love birds / doves to add a little elegance to your event. Great to be used as escort cards, wish tree tags, hanging decorations and many other uses.

Custom paper wedding cakes - favor boxes

I love paper cakes. What I would love more than ever is to make custom ones. My idea is very simple. Every bride has a 2,3,4....10-tiered wedding cake. What I want to do is take that cake and transform it into favor boxes - a replica of  the weeding cake - only in paper card.What you see is my first cake. The first picture is my inspirational cake. So, I hand-painted, hand-stamped and glued flower punches.

Paper cones in light blue / Conuri din hartie in albastru deschis

 

I love it when people ask me to make something new (for me), like these cones that I designed first as flower cones the way some client wanted. Then they became favor boxes. This time they are in pale blue with flowers instead of butterflies and will be used for keeping confetti.

Imi place cand un client imi cere sa fac ceva nou (pentru mine), cum sunt conurile acestea care prima data  le-am facut ca si conuri pentru petale de flori, asa cum a vrut un client. Apoi au devenit cutii marturii. De data aceasta comanda a fost sa fie in albastru deschis cu flori in loc de fluturi si se vor folosi pentru confeti.

Green and pink favor cake boxes / Cutii tort verde si roz

 

I had to share this. A special order for a client, a favor cake in pale green with pink butterflies. I so love the combination!

Trebuie sa arat tortul acesta. O comanda speciala pentru o clienta in culorile verde deschis si fluturi roz. Este o combinatie de culori asa de frumoasa!

Pouring hot chocolate in molds / Forme de ciocolata

 

I tried my hands on pouring hot chocolate in some molds and this is what I got. I tried a large one - the horse - which took two bars of chocolate and a small heart with more intricate design.

Things I have learned:

1. Once finished it should be kept in the fridge if you are using for a party or nicely packed if you want to sell  or gift. Don't keep it at the rooms temperature or it will melt and have unsightly marks.

2. Quickly wrap it or it will have fingerprints all over. If you want to wipe them off it will look badly as it will lose the shine.

3. Be careful as when you handle the bar it will melt from the warmth of your hands so hurry.

4. Plus if you leave it in the open air too much it will whiten.

5. And one last thing: taking pictures is quite a problem as it reflects light. 

All in all I'm happy with my experiment and I think you can make beautiful gifts for your close ones as you can pour the chocolate in so many shapes. And ... you can always reuse the chocolate if something went badly.

So probably all my gifts from now on will be chocolate as it is SOOOOO easy and cheap and beautiful.

Am incercat sa fac forme din ciocolata si acesta e rezultatul. Am incercat un cal, in care a intrat doua ciocolate, si o inima, cu un design mai complicat.

Ce am invatat:

1. Odata terminat trebuie tinut la frigider sau impachetat. Nu lasa la temperatura camerei caci se va topi.

2. Impacheteaza-l repede sau va avea amprente peste tot. Dava vei incerca sa stergi amprentele va fi mai rau si in plus isi va pierde luciul.

3. Mare atentie caci manevand cu mana goala se va topi de la caldura mainii.

4. Daca lasi prea mult in aer liber se va albi.

5. Inca un lucru: pozele vor ridica o problema pentru ca ciocolata reflecta lumina.

Dar sunt fericita cu experimentul meu si cred ca se pot face cadouri frumoase din ciocolata. Si.. intotdeauna poti refolosi ciocolata daca a mers ceva prost.

Daca ma gandesc bine cred ca toate cadourile mele de acum incolo vor fi ciocolata pentru ca este foarte usor de facut, ieftin si arata frumos si deosebit.

Ghost banner / Banner cu stafii

 

White ghosts die cuts for all kind of projects for Halloween. My favorite one is to make a ghost banner. So simple!

Stafii albe pentru tot felul de proiecte de Halloween. Preferatul meu e banner-ul cu stafii. Asa de simplu!
