TUTORIAL How to make huge paper flower / Cum sa faci o floare mare din carton

I have way too many paper scraps. Probably 80-90 % of my items that I make and sell are made from my desire to get rid of my paper scraps. And this huge flower was made as a result of that desire. Anyway I love how it turned out with all the feathery like petals.

Am prea multe resturi de hartie. Probabil ca 80-90 % din lucrurile pe care le fac si le vand sunt facute din dorinta mea de a scapa de toate bucatile astea din hartie. Si floarea asta uriasa a fost facuta tot ca rezultat a acestei dorinte. Si iubesc cum a iesit, cu textura de pene a petalelor.

Start cutting the leaves and  transform them into paper feathers for a fluffy effect.

Incepi prin a taia petalele. Apoi fiecare petala e franjurata ca o pana pentru a ii da efectul de volum.

Cut 4 different sizes of petals.

Tai 4 marimi diferite de petale.

Start gluing them on your base.

Incepi sa le lipesti pe baza de carton.

Start making the middle of the flower.

Incepi sa faci mijlocul florii.

I love these kind of favor boxes (or envelopes) where each petal comes part of the next petal.

Imi place tare mult acest tip de inchidere la cutii (sau plic), ca o floare, unde fiecare petala vine pe sub alta petala.

These are some square card boxes with paper flowers that I made quite a long time ago. They are 7x7 cm and can be filled with sweets to make lovely favor boxes.

Cu ceva timp in urma am facut aceste cutii patrate cu flori din hartie. Au 7x7 cm si pot fi umplute cu dulciuri ca post de marturii.

Am mai facut un stil de etichete pentru cadouri...care imi plac la nebunie pentru ca au iesit super dragute.

I love these tiny houses, but with any tiny thing you'd think it goes really quickly. But no, it is quite time consuming to hand-make them. But they do look really lovely.

Imi plac tare mult aceste casute, si unii au impresia ca lucrurile mici se fac repede. Dar nu, ia cam mult timp sa le fac de mana. Dar sunt adorabile.

A client asked for these butterflies. Aren't they beautiful? Although my hand hurt for a few days from cutting all of them I am glad I did it. And how lovely do they look on the flower arrangement?
